Midway Stock Farm Barn, c. 1880 Hwy 1, south of Birmingham |

|
This bank-style barn is historically significant because it provides a fine, local, example of a large barn whose vast mow area was made possible by a Louden hay fork track.
In the 1920's the ground floor was expanded and remodeled. Among other Louden products, a Louden litter carrier (still intact) was added, making it quick and easy to dispose of manure.
The house (c. 1875) is Italianate with many architectural embellishments, including strong quion work, exumberant brackets under wide eaves, a stone water table, and a two-story bay window.
