Nov 15, 2009...Gazebo on Pleasant Lake
Repair work being done on old cedar shingles and flashing by Duncan MacMaster,
Brian Robbins, and Livia Papp. The Gazebo is located at the southwest corner
of Pleasant Lake (Reservoir #2) near the parking lot. It was formerly located
on a pond at the then-MIU campus. The university donated it to the Lakes/Beach
committee and the Trails Council, who arranged to have it moved and repaired.

Looking south from the gazebo.

The sun is beginning to set.

The parking lot is behind the gazebo.

Pleasant Lake was named in May 2006. This retired reservoir #2 was built in 1898
as a "back-up" reservoir, and is now being developed for water recreation.

There are walking-only trails on the East and West sides. This is the East Walking Trail, at the parking lot.

The entrance to the West Walking Trail. It goes along the west side of the lake (walking only).

The new toilet is on the Loop Trail along Pleasant Lake.

The toilet is next to the parking lot.
