From Pleasant Lake to Bonnifield Lake
From Pleasant Lake to Bonnifield Lake, and back again, along the Lakes segment of the Fairfield Loop Trail.
Here the Loop Trail crosses the Pleasant Lake spillway bridge, heading west.

Looking northeasterly from the spillway bridge back toward the Pleasant Lake parking lot and gazebo.

A popular fishing spot, looking back at the spillway bridge.

Pleasant Lake is a retired Fairfield water supply reservoir (looking north from the west end of the spillway).

Entering the wooded section.

Looking at the spillway from the wooded part of the trail.

What are these? An art project made of hay bales (they will deteriorate with time)

The Star Bales are part of an art project. (The telephone pole well behind the project).

This gazebo provides a place to rest as we approach Bonnifield Lake (a tiny bit shows behind the gazebo).

Bonnifield Lake is another retired Fairfield water supply reservoir, now used for recreation.

A grassy path goes around the lake.

As we approach B Street, we turn around and head back.

The walking-only path on the west side of Pleasant Lake branches off from the pine-woods section.

A walker is returning from the walking-only trail to rejoin the Loop Trail.

Back to Pleasant Lake.

Heading towards the parking lot and gazebo.

The Pleasant Lake gazebo came from MUM.
