The Annual Scavenger Hunt

A free, all-ages clue hunt along the Fairfield Loop Trail every spring. Put on your detective cap, find the checkpoints, and you could win prizes from local businesses.

Each spring, the Jefferson County Trails Council hosts its Scavenger Hunt across the trail system. It's a fun, free way for families, kids, and newcomers to explore the Fairfield Loop Trail and discover corners of it they might never have visited.

Ten clues lead you to ten checkpoints hidden along the trail corridor and in nearby parks. Each checkpoint has an orange hole punch marked with its checkpoint number — use it to punch your card. Find all ten and you're entered in drawings for prizes. Every year has a fresh set of clues and a new theme, so it's worth playing again and again.

This year — 12th Annual

2026 Scavenger Hunt
